The genesis behind Martine Jewelry began as a desire to create pieces that combine the sleek and simple angles found in modern architecture and design, while also still containing the unique detail found in an object made by hand.
All of the pieces are designed and individually carved by hand from wax, then that wax piece is used to create a mold, in an process known as lost wax or cire-perdue. This age old process and handcraft detail is evident in each piece of jewelry in the collection.
Martine focuses on the unique quality imbued in handcrafted work. And for this reason collaborates with a family owned metal caster and finisher, a second generation stone setter and handles each and every pieces individually from beginning to end. We also work with exclusively with suppliers of ethically sources diamonds.
